RR " Stradale "

Presentazione della stradale RR con la squadra di quell'anno. Capirossi e Gibernau. Guareschi collaudatore. Piu' a destra Minoli e Domenicali Claudio. Senza Loris Capirossi, forse, non avremmo la Desmosedici moto GP vincente di questi ultimi 3 anni. La desmo16 stradale nacque sulla base della GP06, riprendendone elementi tecnici; che vedremo....

The historical brotherhood between the D16 and the Cagiva C series 500 2 strokes. Here Genesio Bevilacqua, Althea racing Boss, with his pupils. Many are the solutions adopted from the Cagiva by Ducati in developing the desmosedici project. Engines are obviously, two worlds apart.

Just some photos of 2006 race replica street version.
The race exhausts kit for a MotoGp look;
the stock kit with catalizator;
the " open " exhausts kit with no catalization chamber.
And last, another " Xray " vision, in which is possible to see the mono rear suspension " Prolink" mode, that was basically replayed from the Japanese rear mono concept actually used yet, very similar to the Honda one ( Unit Prolink); up linked to the swingarm, and down to the basement of the engine, at the bottom.

STAR OF THE WORLD



Come detto in precedenza la Desmosedici RR , nata da un progetto risalente al 2001 per la volonta' di competere nel nuovo campionato MotGp categoria 1000 cc che avrebbe poi sostituito la 500 due tempi, รจ una delle piu' ammirate e acclamate moto di ogni epoca. Nella prima foto una delle sue piu' fedeli riproduzioni in scala da parte di una nota Casa di modellismo, in basso lo scheletro della versione stradale del 2006, che fa intravedere la piu' pura espressione del motociclismo secondo Ducati, persa negli anni nel disegno progettuale delle versioni superbike ( eccetto la serie 999-749). E' possibile osservare il traliccio classico, il codone portante, il lineare disegno degli scarichi 4-2-1-2 ( in verticale), il forcellone a doppio braccio.

The Desmosedici RR was born by a 2001 project dedicated to introduce a racing bike Ducati in the newborn 1000 cc MotoGp category, after the falling of 500 two stroke queen category in races. It could be considered one of the most admired and stunning bikes ever. In the first photo we see a scale reproduction by a well known modelism brand, and below, the visual skeleton opf the 2006 street legal version, the purest expression of Ducati cycles actually, lost in the superbike series, except the 999-749 series. It's possible to see easily the short trellis, the autolifting tail, the 4-2-1-2( vertical up forward) exhausts layout, the rear swingarm with two legs. Who knows what if now the 851-888 series had been developed since its origin until the 2010...?
